R-PROTECT 1.5 GALLONS

R-PROTECT is a poly-aspartic specially designed to offer optimal protection on your project.

Application

Cover the floor with a tarpaulin and install the level piece of wood to prevent the formation of waves when it is applied.

1st layer (base layer, R-EPOXY)

– Incorporate the 2 components  following the mixing ratio 2A for 1B. Always start with A (Ex: to get 1.5L, mix 1L of A and 0.5L of B).

– Mix vigorously for 3 to 4 minutes. A non-homogeneous mixture leads to very poor results.

-Pour  over the surface to be covered. Starting at the center, use the spreader to apply the product over the entire surface.

-Heat on the surface to release air bubbles. Do not burn the epoxy. The CO2 released by the flame creates a chemical reaction that removes bubbles.

-Use pliers to remove impurities/dust. Wait 24 hours before proceeding to the next layer.

2nd layer (finish) R-PROTECT

-24 hours later, sand the layer at 120 without neglecting any surface, including the sides and the bottom. Sanding allows R-PROTECT to adhere well to the previous layer. Allow time for the dust to settle before applying the next layer (approximately 1 hour). Clean the surface so that it is dustfree.

-By respecting the ratio 2A: 1B, mix for 3 to 4 minutes.

-Apply the product in a thin layer. Too thick layer would cause micro bubbles.

-The R-PROTECT hardens very quickly. The application / handling time is limited to a maximum of 10 min after mixing.

-By being careful not to burn the product, use a torch to release the bubbles.

After the final coat, wait at least 10 days before using it.
